Women with HPV and/or Herpes will talk about how having a Sexually Transmitted
Infection (STI) affects life, plus: * educational discussion about these
STI’s
* alternative health options for curing/preventing outbreaks
* sharing creative expression on these topics
Laughter and snacks may be included. In order to reach out to the greater
community of the Bay Area, we'll collect information, writings, articles
and pictures fostered by these meetings and produce an anonymous zine
for publication and distribution.

The Foreskin
Project is still looking for a few good (uncut) men for their research.
They have been testing men since this summer and now officially have over
100 circumcised men, but still need + 50 men with foreskins. "It's
phenomenal that we have done 50 men with skin. It's just not easy to find
the next 50 in America," say the researchers. Future testing dates
are being arranged. Any qualified men can contact Jeff Brown who can schedule

Are you interested in participating in a research study about women's
perspectives and experiences with anonymous or casual sex?
You may be eligible to participate in the study if:
-You are
female
-You are not transgender (any stage)
-You are between the ages of 18-75 years old
-You are able to read, write and speak fluent English
-You have used at least one Internet website in the past year to meet
your sexual partners
I am a doctoral
student at the University of California, San Francisco. I am conducting
research on women's experiences using the Internet to meet partners for
the specific purpose of anonymous or casual sex. I am defining anonymous
or casual sex as meeting people solely for the purpose of sex, without
any intention of developing a relationship or emotional attachment beyond
sex. I am interested in women's perspectives and experiences with these
types of encounters and matters of sex and health in general.
If you are
interested and eligible, I will interview you about your thoughts and
experiences around health, the Internet and anonymous or casual sex. The
interview will be conducted in person at a location of your choice, will
take approximately 1-2 hours, and, with your permission, will be audio-taped.
Some study participants may also be asked to participate in a second interview
should more time be required. Participation will be voluntary and confidential.
Information will be kept confidential and participants may withdraw from
the study at any time for any reason.
