Friday April 7th, 10:00-1:00 - Opening Party for 'Gotham's Fantasies', a pre-party for the Kink Ink auction
$5-$15 sliding scale

A Provocative Photography exhibit and sale exposing the Deviant Desires of Gotham City's Do-gooding Denizens and Depraved Degenerates

Salacious Smut and Prurient Performances by: Dr. Hal Robins (The Ask Dr. Hal Show), Meliza Banales (2002 Oakland Grand Slam Champ ), Sherilyn Connelly (Queer Open Mic), Katrina James ("kittypr0n"), Catwoman (Meoww!) and The Hand (Apocalyptic Renaissance)

Photography by: David Steinberg, Jeanne Hemhauser, Patricia Nason, and Mike Woolson

Artists:

Jeanne Hemhauser is a photographer living and working in San Francisco for over 10 years. Specializing in portrait photography, she seeks to capture the magic moments when working with her clients. "What I love about living in San Francisco is the amazing diversity. One afternoon I can be out shooting traditional portraits of children and the next day end up shooting Gotham's Fantasies. What more could a photographer want?" Visit her website at www.jeannehemhauser.com to see more of her traditional portraiture.

M Woolson's social and aesthetic development was influenced to a profound and embarrassing degree by the old Batman teevee show. A designer and cartoonist by day, he spends his elsetimes documenting alternative arts and doing sexy things with costumes and makeup. More may be seen at www.jumbobrain.com, in the current issue of On Our Backs, or during May at the SF Citadel.
mike@jumbobrain.com

Based in San Francisco, Patricia Nason is an engineer by day, and photographer by night. A photographer for the last five years, her subject matter is as versatile as she is, ranging from sex work provider portfolios, to private pervert gigs. Pooches to petunias, too. Her passions include macro photography and a proclivity towards subjects of an erotic nature, though not necessarily in that order.

David Steinberg has been photographing couples engaged in sex since 1999. He has photographed over 100 couples, and is always looking for new subjects. His books include Photo Sex: Fine Art Sexual Photography Comes of Age, Erotic by Nature, and The Erotic Impulse: Honoring the Sensual Self.

Performers:

Meliza Bañales is the author of Girl With the Glass Throat, Scratching a Surface, and Say It With Your Whole Mouth (nominated for a Poetry Center Book Award in 2004). Her work has been featured in the anthologies Revolutionary Voices (ed., by Ami Sonny) and Without a Net: The Female Experience of Growing-Up Working-Class (ed., by Michelle Tea), both of which were LAMBDA nominees, as well as in Transfer, Lodestar Quarterly, and Laundry Pen. She was the 2002 Oakland Grand Slam Champ and the first Latina on the west coast to win a poetry slam championship and was the 2002 winner of the People Before Profits Poetry Prize. She has fiction in the upcoming anthology Baby, Remember My Name: New Queer Girl Writing (ed., by Michelle Tea), four entries in the first ever Encyclopedia of Activism and Social Justice, a short film, Do the Math, with Mary Guzmán in Frameline 2006 (which was also the winner of a 2006 Frameline Completion Grant), and a second book of poems, 51 Poems About Nothing At All, out in June from Monkey Press. She writes reviews and short articles highlighting women of color for Girlfriends and On Our Backs magazines and splits her time between Savannah, GA and the Bay Area.

Sherilyn Connelly is a San Francisco-based writer. It's all fiction, except for the true stuff. Actually, even that.

Primarily a writer of erotica, Katrina James also co-produced the cult public access show "kittypr0n" and has acted in and worked behind-the-scenes on several local stage productions. She currently lives with her two cats in San Francisco where she works as an office manager by day and attempts to make up for her "lost" youth at night.

The Hand will be performing "Pinky, Ring, Middle, Index & Thumb: A Handfull of Songs for Ukulele and Kazoo" as well as some classic Batman music. The Hand: A clown (Accordion/Luz Gaxiola), a gentleman (Viola/Victor Lowrie) and a madman (classical guitar/Matt Walker). Sounds like Gypsy Lullabies.

Fetish, Super Hero/Villain attire and attitude is encouraged

April Flores is voluptuous alt-porn babe Fatty D (http://www.fattyd.com) -- the D stands for Delicious! The stunning April's real-life fantasies and adventures have been documented over the past five years by acclaimed artist Carlos Batts. Her newest video is Alter Ego: A poetic visual erotic tale, previewed on FattyD.com. Watch artists decorate April's sexy curves with original drawings!

Tom Orr is an award-winning lyricist, playwright and performer, best known for his hit satirical parody revue, "Dirty Little Showtunes!" (1997 Bay Area Critics Circle Award). His talents have also been on display as "The Perky Little Porn Star" in "Naked Boys Singing!" A former theatre critic for The Seattle Times and a licensed minister, Tom has performed at countless fundraisers, usually with a new original custom parody written specifically for the occasion. He is also known as Mr. Dore Alley 2004 and Mr. Nude Russian River 2004 & 2005. Appearing with Tom at Kink Ink is his boyfriend Christopher, here making his SF stage appearance debut.

Carol Queen looks back to her days in Lusty Lady's Private Pleasures booth in a snippet of her full-length solo performance, Peep Show.

Second-generation comix legend Mark Bode -- creator of Miami Mice, gifted tattooist and contributor to pubs from Heavy Metal to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to Hustler -- heads the live-art-on-naked-models contingent for the second year in a row, joined by other artists making unique body art before your eyes! Digital prints of the body art will be available for purchase onsite. "Culinary speakeasy" Ghetto Gourmet again caters the reception. The San Francisco Chronicle calls underground sensation Ghetto Gourmet "one of the hottest restaurants in the Bay Area that you have never heard of." www.ghetto-gourmet.com

Extra special offbeat stuff from the Center for Sex & Culture's archives! Gotham's Fantasies artists will donate a percentage of any sales to CSC as well. Many Kink Ink donating artists will be on hand for the event, held the same weekend as the Alternative Press Expo. KI production has been invaluably helped along by Daniel Spector and Kelly Buehler.

Auction payments may be made via cash, check, or Paypal (we will have a computer on site for people desiring to use Paypal).

And the previous night, 4/7, don't forget the prequel: the opening night for Gotham's Fantasies!
