398 11th Street at Harrison
415.255.1155
doors: 7pm workshop: 7:30pm $10-20 sliding
Piercing Artist, Ray Aims, will lead a temporary piercing workshop. "Piercing flesh can be any combination of incredibly erotic, intimate, painful, beautiful and brutal. Have you been curious about temporary piercing but didn't know where to start? Playing with needles is fun but getting started can be daunting. This workshop will launch you, safely, into new exploration with needles."

This workshop and Wednesday's performance are part of the "I'll Show You Mine if You Show Me Yours: East Coast Performers Cruise the West Coast" Tour: Drag King Heywood Wakefield, temporary piercing artist Ray Aims, experimental movement artist J Dellecave, The Cuntessa crotch puppetress, Pasta Girl super heroine, temporary piercing artist Crystal Goldmind, Micol Alex, Mz. Luna Devine, Stud Muffin, and Polly travel from afar to dare West coast performers and audiences to a creative challenge. These sexy, sarcastic, well-seasoned and immensely talented performers bring together their skills and create a lavish mix of high art and trashy glitz. It will be a gorgeous mess of humorous, fancy, dorky, politicized queerness mingling with stars from each host city. Featuring a unique show each night of this amazing tour. Some cities will witness a cabaret/drag/burlesque show featuring Drag King Heywood Wakefield, The Cuntessa with her crotch puppets, Mz. Luna Divine's genderfucking melons, and Stud Muffin along with local dragsters, musicians and freaks. Other cities will bear witness to multi-media temporary piercing productions of fantastical tales featuring Ray Aims, Crystal Goldmind, Micol Alex, flesh and many sharp pointy things. Each event will feature unique content! Their website is http://www.truthserum.org/tour -- schedule includes other bay area events.

Wednesday March 15 -- Piercing performance

*Ray Aims* has been piercing and performing since mid 2003. He's taught many people about piercing. He is drawn to the beauty in the art of working with flesh and metal and the tension between the pain and the euphoria piercing creates. Together with Crystal Goldmind, Aims has created several multi-media performances. These include The Sailor and the Mermaid first performed in the reflecting pool at Galapagos and The Tale of the Tale first performed at MixFest NYC in front of over 200 people. During these performance events both Aims and Goldmind take on characters and create a narrative thread that goes throughout the performance. Beauty and pain are part of the performances, but a power dynamic is not. Both performers consensually put this art into the world.

*Crystal Goldmind* loves progressive porn, neo-feminist antics, queerbo politics, and rows of needles puncturing her skin. She was first incarnated in Philadelphia's DIY dyke go-go night, Pousse Cafe, tossing cheap gold chocolate coins and gyrating her hips to a vintage T Rex tune. She is a sexual tourist and takes pride in engineering spectacles that delight the senses, rattle the paradigms, and haunt the mind.

*Micol Alex* is a Jewish Buddhist genderqueer Witch, who in 1993 cofounded the Minneapolis based performance group, the Psycick Slutz, whose original work incorporates a capella singing and percussion, campy spoken word theatrics, martial arts based movement, bloody urban elemental sex magick, and the occasional puppet. Alex has performed in the Midwest, on both U.S coasts, and in London. Since 1992, Alex has been training in martial arts. A recent firespinning transplant in Oakland, CA, she teaches martial arts, self defense, theatre arts, body mindfulness, workshops on polyamory, and sex magick for survivors of sexual trauma. Alex pays the rent by tending perennial flower gardens, modeling for visual artists, and working her intuitive Reiki bodywork magick on receptive individuals. contact: micolalex@yahoo.com

Sunday, 3/19, 9:30--5:30 pm -- Become an Extraordinary Lover - For Men Who Love Women

There is nothing more arousing than watching a woman you are making love to writhe and moan with delight. However, there are very few places to get practical, explicit, and straightforward advice about what turns women on. In this hands-on, one-day workshop, Dr. Danielle Harel joins with Celeste Hirschman, MA to teach you everything from the arts of romance and seduction to advanced pleasure techniques. They will teach you to read women's non-verbal cues, to elicit information about her secret sexual desires, and to keep her coming back for more. You will have the opportunity to practice different kinds of touch on a woman, gauge her responses and receive helpful feedback. The facilitators will cover how to give pleasure during a sexual encounter and explore special oral and anal techniques.

Sunday, March 19th, 9:30am to 5:30pm, at the Center for Sex and Culture, 398 11th St. For more information or to register email info@DareToEnjoy.com or call (415) 336-3258.

Thursday, March 30, in WASHINGTON, DC -- Carol queen in Peep Show!

Half the proceeds will go to the Woodhull Freedom Foundation; $10--20 sliding scale. Email us for time/place details! And spread the word to your DC-area friends!
Go backstage at the pre-union Lusty Lady Theatre! Carol, an early-‘90s alumna of the Lusty, takes her audience backstage for an intimate introduction to the secrets of the peep show. Meet her colleagues, with their over-the-top femme personae; the customers, from whom Carol learned her mother was wrong when she said that “men only want one thing”; and the theatre itself, where every windowed booth serves as a sort of erotic confessional. Queen (a.k.a. Minx Manx) was definitely one Live Nude Girl who loved her job, partly because she – a sexology grad student at the time – learned from it how amazingly diverse sex really is. The show lasts about two hours and is all extemporaneously told. Expect a funny, surprising, moving visit behind the locked doors of the Private Pleasures Booth.

Carol Queen has performed "Peep Show" all over the US and Canada. In 2003 she took an excerpt of the longer piece through the southwest with the Sex Workers’ Art Show Tour, and she has performed the show in Toronto, Boston, Seattle, Tucson, Minneapolis, San Francisco, and elsewhere.
