Cost: $100 for the series (no drop-ins)

If the eyes are the window to the soul, it is the voice from which the soul blooms. Each of us has a unique voice inside us waiting to be released. Just as Michelangelo chiseled away the excess to reveal his masterpiece La Pieta which he believed to be imprisoned in the raw stone, we will sing songs, play games and do exercises to remove the blocks that keep us from singing from our soul.

Join San Francisco's Mark Growden for a 4-week singing workshop emphasizing the release of fear, the expansion of the heart and the liberation that singing brings. No prior musical or singing experience required.

Mark Growden is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, visual artist, educator, and father based in San Francisco, CA. He has toured the U.S. for years performing at venues such as the Fillmore and Great American Music Hall in S.F. and Tonic and The Knitting Factory in New York. He has released several critically acclaimed albums. Growden has composed original musical scores for a number of Dance and Theater companies including Joe Goode Performance Group, The Crucible's Fire Odyssey, and Alonzo King's Lines Contemporary Ballet with whom he won the Isadora Duncan Award for Best Original Score for a New Dance Piece. Growden has also scored several films including "Blood Tea and Red String" which won Best Animation at the San Francisco Independent Film Festival and at the Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal. He has taught music at a number of schools such as Urban High School, Park Day School, International High School, French American International School and Drake High School. He is currently the music teacher at Creative Arts Charter Middle School and Clarendon Elementary. Resume aside, Growden is deeply committed to serving this world and the beings that occupy it with the expression of the divine through the arts whether it be singing, painting, composing, riding a bike, or taking out the garbage.

Master Your Arousal
Friday, January 9, 7-8:30pm

Join us for a climactic evening about the mechanics of pleasure and how we can gain mastery over our arousal. Many men want to learn how to prolong orgasm and control ejaculation. Women are often concerned with reaching climax or becoming multi-orgasmic.

Men and women alike can experience more full-body sensation, prolonged arousal, longer orgasms and multiple climaxes. And yet, the only "optimal" arousal is one that feels good to you and is right for the time and space of each particular sexual encounter. Only have time for a quickie? Or ready to extend your arousal through an entire evening? Do you want a full body glow or an intense climax? Simple, easily learned skills can greatly extend your range of options and allow you to be the author of your own pleasure. Join us for a lively evening exploration of your own inner pleasure mechanics.

Sex Workers Writing Workshop w/ Gina de Vries
Wednesday, January 21, 7pm

This is a writing workshop for people who work or have worked in all areas of the sex industry to share their writing and get honest, non-judgmental feedback. Workshop participants are not obligated to write exclusively about sex work, but writing about work in the sex industry (as well as writing about other topics) will be welcomed. This will hopefully be a place where people can write and share about their sex work experiences without having to censor themselves, explain every detail, or endure stupid questions and moral judgments. Beginning writers are encouraged to attend along with more seasoned writers.

We will write using a modified version of the Amherst method: writing prompt will be given, people will write for 30-45 mins, and then we will share what we've written and get feedback if we want it.

Sliding scale $10-20 (more if you can, less if you can't, nobody turned away)

PANELISTS:
TBA

If you've ever wondered what group sex was like "way back when" (or now!), or how the people who attend play parties today differ from those twenty years ago, or how the rules surrounding group sexual dynamics have changed through the years... If you're curious who is throwing play parties today, what kinds of events are out there and for whom, where they happen, who attends, and if there is a play party for you and what you're into... Please join us for a group of group-sex geeks talking about... What else?... group sex!
